He has been involved in research, quality\/accreditation, and held various professional roles over his career.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-key=\"106\"\u003eMatthew has been teaching non-violent crisis intervention for 11+ years, delivered Mental Health First Aid to 2100+ Canadians since 2018, and is one of the first Canadians certified to provide Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (AMSR) training from the Zero Suicide Institute. He has developed and delivered various workshops, presentations, and educational material for hospitals, schools, and other organizations. At Ontario Shores, he co-developed microcredentials on topics such as mindfulness, self-care, motivational interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). He teaches biannually on culture and mental health for nurses preparing to take their CNA psychiatric specialty examination. Matthew is also a Clinical Instructor for mental health at Trent University (Trent\/Fleming School of Nursing, TFSON).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhy is this experience relevant?
